Default ECU up grade

Hi I have a UK 2000 turbo x reg and I'm looking to chip or up grade my ecu, in people opinion what's the best way of doing this ?

basicly a mapper does a custom map for your car.

i have a ecutek ecu for sale if your interested, i have had this checked by JGM to confirm its unlocked

how do you check if it's been unlocked and how much just bought an ecu for mine thats supposed to be ecuteked of my mate for £50 but he lost the paper work for it plus he's a bit of an arther daily when it comes to cars
