Default Type r not running well

My v5 typer r import has started to splutter a bit around 5000 rpm on half throttle, and i can smell petrol from the exhaust fumes, the cars standard no mods etc does any one have any ideas wot could cause this.also i wont to change the plugs and leads can anyone recomend the ones to use thanks,

Sounds like unburnt fuel coming out of the exhaust. Have you got a miss fire is it only running on 3 cylinders? Start with this if you rule out misfire look towards the MAF as these can often fail.

Thanks for the reply, not running 3 cylinders, ive checked and cleaned the maf , the lamber sensor the thread gets stuck so havent checked that yet , going through petrol very quickly, and seems to boost over 1 bar when starts spluttering, im hoping its a sensor or something like this, do u think it could b anything else ????

As above try plugs but I would still suspect the MAF cleaning never works.
