Default Engine light just come on help

Hi peeps after accelerating from a round about not that hard really my engine check warning light has just come on its a 1995 wrx any ideas guy y this has come on or what has caused it to ?

Could be a number of things. Best bet would be to check for error codes. Go under your steering column and look for 2 black connectors. Plug them in and let us know what code you get.

2 conectors ? What do I plug them into or u mean conect them together ? And where would I show the codes ? Thanks

hi mate i had the same problem was you low on fuel when it happend possb fuel surge for that split moment

I had this happen with my classic 00 when I regularly used 95 RON. I now use 97 RON and have done for about the last 10 fills and no light has come on.

I was wondering weather my speed cable that is now disconnected due to me going to replace it as it's been plying up would that cause the light to come on thanks guy
