Default Oil Pressure sensor size?

Greetings all,

Random question first; does anyone know what size thread the oil pressure sensor is (UK MY98, should it make any difference)? I may need to blank it off temporarily and would like to know what to use?

Basically I'm removing my gauges, I've got the sender out but the way the gauge was fitted effectively has a T piece bolted where the original sensor was allowing both the original sensor and the sender for the gauge to be fitted at the same time... only problem is I now can't remove the T-piece (started to round the bolt off) so may have to blank off the now empty thread until I've got the tools and time to remove it properly.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

As above: if you want a blank, buy a cheap op switch.

Cheers Jeff. It's just a temporary botch until it's warm enough to have a proper crack at getting the other piece out.

LOL, know what you mean, fitted two gauges to mine in FREEZING weather two years back, I had to keep going inside to get feeling back in my fingers.

Different bit, matey. For a different gauge too

The original sensor should go back in the space for this one, I just couldn't get the other bit out first, so I'm just going to blank that off for now so I can at least get the gauges out and sold. They might just about pay for a service on the Datsun!
