Default Complete transplant questions?

I know this will have been asked many of time but I am new to forums and would like to know if anyone would be able to point me in the right direction?

I am looking to transplant all the running gear off a subaru wrx sti on to my sport AWD.

I'm sure some can figure out why I'm doing it, I just wanted to know if I has to be the same year and model. would I be able to transplant all from a wagon or does it all have to come from the saloon?

Are there any forums that have been done that show step by step tranformation and how to transplant all running gear, struts, brakes so on an so fourth?

I thank all in advance who help.

Marvin.

Welcome to SN

Wouldn't it be easier to stick your sport shell onto the STi

Seriously, the usual consensus is that it's easier to sell the Sport and buy the car you would like.......

Thank you.

Thats the idea, I just want to change shell's.

The word I'm looking for begins with I an ends with E. Thats my biggest problem if I go to an STI.

You will have to declare the mods to the Sport to your insurers and I expect the insurance will be more than for an unmolested Turbo.......

I see where your coming from but a friend of mine said he got cheaper insurance because he put his down as a custom build declaring all modifications and had an agreed price with the insurers if the car was written off which is something that is hard come by these days.

I'm not sure what to do and the quotes I'm getting on an STI are really expensive regardless. That's why I'm exploring all avenues and from what I've heard it's pointless turboing a sport or the Sohc engine.
