Default turbo choices?

only aiming for 330-350hp so any reason why i shouldn't order one of these for my '03 blob rather than hoping an STI vf34 comes up 2nd hand on the forum?

Many people will advised to stay away from ebay turbos, because many of them fail within few hundred miles and can take you engine with it, a TD05 20G for £300 its very cheap comparing to what Harvey has (which is a genuine TD05 20G) for sale. Personaly i would save and buy from Harvey and be sure that its a genuine turbo. Thats my opinion and i am sure you will have people on here who will agree to what im saying.

As above, They are cheap for a reason, Chances are even if it doesn`t fail it wont be making the numbers it claims to be making IMO.

Is there a reason you are waiting for a VF34 in particular?

I ask as the VF35 makes the same figures with negligible (read minimal) difference in spool, they are also more readily available and cheaper.

dont do it fella !! cheap crap you cant skimp on a turbo , especially if u want reliable 330+bhp you mentioned ! i have just made 360.1bhp on a ihi-vf34 and its still 2ltr . also its a ball bearing rather than sleeve bearing so spools up better mine was 800 brand new . but i think its lateral performance ?or scoobyclinic that do a 16g for little over 600 ? but dont quote me on this and im not sure what figures it can achieve . id always buy new when it comes to a turbo then you have piece of mind .

Ive fitted a couple of ebay turbos to customers cars and to be honest they have never failed as yet BUT never get the figures they say and all seem to be really really laggy.

best to save ya pennies and buy a proper one.

ONE good one will work out cheaper than the two cheap ones youl buy
