As far as I know people only bore out a 2ltr to 2.2. If you want 2.5 you are better off getting a 2.5 short motor.
I was looking into it before but funds wouldn't allow it comfortably. I'm sure someone with more experience in this field will be along shortly.

lots of history of that; the liners are prone to dropping before they mature...have a read of Dynamics thread for deatils. I have a destroked sleeved 2.5 CDB based on a 2.0 and its currently being rebuilt because of just that reason.
2.1 stroker would be a safer and more cost effective option most likely. If you really want a 2.5 then have a look at Frayz or Daz's threads, they both used pinned EJ257s.

Cheers chaps
Had been told that a 2L block not strong enough to withstand boring for 2.5 without other strengthening measures.
How good is the 2.1 stroker, strong enough to run 450 allday?
Any 1 running, reliable?
Cheers peeps

As above, As the OP only wanted 450, The newage JDM block will cope with that, Why bother going to the expense of a 2.1 stroker if you only want 450 is what i would be asking myself,
Also it all depends on what useage the car gets, Track/Drag/Daily driver, These are the things you need to think about before spending any cash. Personaly i`d get the 2.5 off my list straight away, 2.35 would be the ideal choice but cost is a big deciding factor here, 2.1 is the next best thing but still going to cost a bit to get right.

Thanks
My engine has problem wiv the rings so running on borrowe time at the min.
I do agree what you are saying about the jdm, only thing, it's the gamble of getting a good motor.
I'm running a MD321T(not my choice, put on by previous owner) so was thinking of the 2.1 to I get the extra gases to help spool that bit quicker.
Thanks for the advise.
Anymore advise much appreciated.
