Default Fitting Revolution exhaust to 2.5" downpipe

I have just bought the Revolution catback from the Bay and understand it should fit straight onto a 2.5" downpipe, however the flange on the centre pipe is 3". Will this still fit ok against the smaller diameter downpipe or will I need an adaptor?

Also, what wire gasket will I need and where is the best place to get one from as my local fitter would get them from the dealers and I don't know if the one for the standard exhaust will fit.....

Desperate to get it fitted now!

It needs an adapter.
The Revolution system is slip jointed and comes with the necessary adapter.
Other than on the 2.5" end of the adapter, there shouldn't be any flanges on it if genuine.

Yeah you're correct about the slip joints, it's just that the bore of the adaptor measures 3" so I wondered if it would meet the 2.5" downpipe ok?

Anyway, got this fitted yesterday, went straight on to the 2.5" downpipe so all good and much quieter. :-)

Just got to get rid of the Nur Spec now......
