Not sure what your asking to be honest,

Your car has had a newage short motor fitted using your existing heads etc...

The V7 is the ECU model number out of a classic shaped impreza, This does not relate to a newage car(as in Version 7) as it would not fit the wiring loom and would not work for many other reasons too.

There is no such thing as a redtop bottom end, I know what your getting at though, It has been removed from an Sti with a red inlet manifold.

All short motor/Bottom ends are inter-changeable across all years 92-05 and changing this would not require changing the ECU.

Still not sure what your question is but i hope this helps, lol,

Gaz.

Whats the question?
