How much brake fluid in...
Anyone know how much brake fluid is held in a '98 wrx import? Had new front brakes fitted but feel spongey,so I want to drop the fluid and bleed the whole system but don't know how much fluid to purchase.
Thanks

HI
A litre will be enough to flush the system and have a little left over , Dot 4 would be fine , Dot 5.1 would be better.
I wouldn't drain the system as you could run into problems , just flush the master cylinder through a few times bleeding the front drivers side calipers , then work your way round the car , this is the way I do it and never have any problems
Hope this helps
Cheers Ian

But what if there is dot 3/4 in it now,I was told you can't add dot 5.1 as this is what I was going to put in,the cap says use dot 3 only.
