Default Ignition problem - Help!!

Hello All

I have a 2001 WRX bugeye, which has a slight missfire. My car has a vf34, sti tmic, 550injectors, straight through exhaust with sports cat on downpipe, fuel pump and has been remaped.

The problem is, the slight missfire in low revs, which is amplified when running on LPG. Seem ok in mid-higher revs.

I've changed the spark plugs to iridium 7, and would like to know what other components make up the ignition, which I will go through starting from the cheapest up to get rid of the missfire.

I think the missfire was always there, but i never noticed it before the lpg conversion.

I have searched the forum and can see loads of people have missfires, but cant see any threads from bugeye wrx owners with the same problem.

Cheers all!

Is it an intimittant misfire or is the engine running on 3 cylinders?

Hello mate, its intimittant.

On the way home tonight I noticed it seems to missfire in higher revs too now, since the remap.

Any ideas?

I was planning on changing the ignition parts/upgrading as I go long, start from the cheapest parts. Problem is, I can't figure out what parts could need changing other than spark plugs, and coil packs.

Hang on, it's done this since a remap?

Who mapped it and have you been in contact with them?

Sorry, i didnt write/describe what was happening in the best possible way. Its fine in petrol, its when i run the car in LPG that the missfire is noticible.

The lpg company copied the map that i had (from Racedynamics, which i'm VERY happy with) :-)

The lpg company says that when you have a missfire in petrol, its amplified in LPG. But, its a slight missfire in petrol which i didnt even notice until it showed up in LPG. But now i know its there, i do notice it in petrol, and suspect this was there since before the remap.

My plan was to replace sensors/bits, starting from the cheapest until the missfire has gone.

lol I just dont know what bits/sensors/ignition parts to replace.
