Hi mate had a quick look at the listing. It should have had a cambelt done and be on its second one now. Cambelt should be 50 000 miles or 5 years depending on which one comes first. Also the milage doesn't match up in one place it say 40 000+ and in the other it says 60 000+.

Even if the rust looks a little it can be loads underneath that you can't see. Its a common problem with the UK classic.

However long you spend looking at the car spend twice the amount looking through all the paperwork and recipts for the car.

I live in Birmingham so can't really have a quick look sorry mate.

It will require a cambelt so you would have to budget for it (Nossy, classic MY00 cars are 4 years/60k miles, whichever is first, prior to that they are 3 year, 45k miles, remembering classics have 6 month service intervals of 7.5k miles/6 months, whichever is first and then you may have to check the chassis number, uk car, to see if it has an X or Y in it, Y's are 4 years, x's 3).
Standard wheels but looks like a prodrive backbox, may be a bargain if its a ppp'd car
Check the usual, rust in the arches (not cheap to fix), rust around the windscreens etc.
Go to here http://www.subaru-impreza.org/impreza-checklist.html and print the checklist off.

Yes you are right sorry I just gave out the service intervals for a new age.

Rust fix is what £300+ a side.

Cambelt will be about £125 with a WMI discount I think but will need to double check that.

Hi just been told it had cam belt done at 23k by main dealer.

And the rust was touched up by a body shop.

Will get pics of the rear arches also guy said it has been serviced by him self every 6k but no proof
