Did you trap the mudflap?

As for the bumper, I'd get hold of some 1mm brass, or alloy strip strip, modelshops carry it, and fashion a piece I could fit ALONG the bumper underneath the lip, using small countersunk bolts........at least three.

Once it's in place, use a hot air gun to "mould" the broken piece over it, then use Araldite or similar underneath EXCEPT where the oval hole is.

Or take it to a bodywork shop and SEE if they can weld it.

That sums up what I was going to say but also want to add. Looking at it if you could fix the plastic clip thing using body panel adhesive or melt it then the bolt that fits into it should still work. I did that on mine the first time.

There was no way to repair the bumper bracket, so had to botch together a fix. Went and cut some sheet metal off an old bonnet I use for spare metal, and then made up the brackets. Did everything nicely until it came to make the long hole and the tool snapped so I had to use a drill bit and a disk cutter so its why it looks crap lol.
The only thing that went a bit pete tong was the bolt that usually holds the bumper inplace was turning turning turning, so had to cut it off and put a bolt through.

Will have to replace the bumper when I get it resprayed (eventually).

Gonna take it off again tomorrow and put the plate underneath, as its sitting the bumper a tad low as the moment, but I only notice it as I put it back, so I know its there.

That was my idea, then?

Do yourself a favour: replace all bolts, screws, washers etc with STAINLESS before it's too late.

Tbh I`d already done it before I had read what anyone had put.

The bolts won`t be on that long and the main one is stainless.

The main issue I`m going to have is where the bolt goes into the rear of the car body, as the hole is really close to the edge of the steel and its very thin and imho won`t take much to come off. But sort that when the problem arises.
