Default spoiler install help

hi

i have a gc8 98 v4 wrx sti with the mid level spoiler.
i have just bought a high level spoiler from a guy on scoobynet
it looks like a p1 spoiler.
and i am just wanting to know exactly how to fit it.
when i lift my bootlid i see 2 bolts.
will i need to drill two extra holes to the bootlid to fit the spoiler when it arrives.
also does anyone have pictures they could post of the underside
of there bootlid so i can see what they have had to do to fit the spoiler.
any info or instructions would be appreciated

thanks again lads

If I remember right it "should" use the same holes, just bond it on with loads of tiger seal as well.

I made a cardboard template on my v 7 bugeye, think I had to drill 6 extra holes.

You will need to drill extra holes. I changed from a V4 to a V5 spoiler and needed to drill several extra holes.

For a start there are THREE bolts per side on the 98 cars, there are two more under the rubber bumpstops

You MAY find it holds on OK with six bolts, but I would bond it too.

Remember that the least you must do is put non-setting mastic around all holes, bolt and wiring, before placing the spoiler.

This stuff is good: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CARAVAN-SE...item43ab1910b9

And take into account that if you bond it, it's not coming off again, should you need it to. Your choice.

Push them sideways at the top, they spring out like rubber grommets.
