New engine in, now car running poorly
After my engine went, I've now put my forged 2.0 block in(same heads)
Cars now running, big smile on my face when she came back to life
Am I right that it should be running low power until I remap her, as the engine light comes on when I put my foot down. Think it's in limp mode or something, new lightweight flywheel was also fitted.
Stalling and revs dropping too, any idea if I can get a fault read on a simtek, or just go straight for the map
Many thanks
Wiley

Firstly, the compression will be different, the map will need altering.. along with the fact everything has been undone and done back up so it would be wise to get it checked.
engine light at 3.5k - has the ecu been altered for the engine? simtek only uses the engine light for 3 things - as part of the map swap between maps if not on a switch at key on, as a shift light solid lit (rpm setup in the map) as a knock warning (will flash).
there is no limp mode on a simtek.
