Engine management light come on after fitting de cat
Can anyone help please .i took my car to scoobyclinic yesterday for a service and a de cat downpipe .i asked them if the engine management light would come on after fitting it and they said no they would do a cell fix so I decided to have it done .then as I was on my way home the car come on boost then all powerwent and engine management light come on .i rang them and they said its overboosting so need the turbo porting and a remap .anybkdy had this problem

i dont know that it would need turbo porting however you should DEFINATELY get the car remapped, if its overboosting you are running the risk of boost spikes and engine damage. I would get the car mapped and drive it off boost until then

It was almost abit pointless fitting the de-cat as it will have to come off again for a turbo change. Its quite a waste of labour. Im suprised they didnt advise you to wait and get the turbo,de-cat and map done all at once to save on labour costs. Especially ad the general advise is dont de-cat without a map
