Default my99 knock felt via clutch pedal

hi my99 turbo has developed a knocking somewhere???I can feel it when i depress the clutch going over bumps in road!I have had the car looked at and have slight play in the part where the inner cv joins to the gearbox, its not the drive shaft moving but bearing in the gearbox could this be causing the knock or could it be gearbox mount???

could be either mate. When you put the clutch in theres less load on the driveshaft so it will be floating, then when the clutch is released the shaft is under load and will be tighter in the box.

I doubt its the mount as you'd notice it more when accelerating then pressing the clutch in, as you release the drive from the shaft and the box would move more.

Are you sure it doesn't touch the bulkhead or clutch master cylinder because that'll be near the top of the clutch pedal?
