Default Ceramic coated Ebay Headers

Hi I know ebay headers have a bad reputation but what does anyone think of these?
3bolt flange, slip jointed, no nasty flexy joint and ceramic coated

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMP...item519a0040f9

Has anyone tried them, very tempted but could be a complete waste of time and money

Just incase you didn't notice, they're equal length, so ou'll end up losing the burble.

Look similar to the GT Spec headers and up-pipe.

Sloppy powder coating, the ends are coated to(Unevenly). You'll probably have to scrape (which isn't easy) that off so the gaskets and other pipes connect well.

Personally, I'd contact Harvey Smith and then heat wrap them or get the coated separately. Some of these cheaper pipes can even have a detrimental effect on power. Harvey's are tried and tested, loads of people on here swear by them.

good ceramic coating would cost £300+vat alone.
cheap tubular headers would crack sooner than later.

I won a set of these a few months ago for £120....Firstly the studs are ****, they rattle in the thread and they also use an M10 nut.

Secondly they didnt fit!! they fouled on the sump and oil filter, i think they are designed for a twin scroll sump......I sent them back for a refund, bit the bullet and bought an RCM set.

Not all headers on ebay are pants.

I bought a set of GT spec type headers from kungawa turbos on ebay. They are not ceramic coated but are beautifully made with decent thickness pipes and very high quality welds. Been on the car for a couple of years now with hard use and never had any problems with cracking etc.

These are what Harvey supplies and he'll DEI wrap them.
You WILL need a re-map.
