Default ACT gauge advice

I'm looking to fit an accurate air charge temp gauge to my V3 running the larger STi top mount.

I want the sensor to be the thin wire type I can tuck into the hose just before the throttle body.

Looking at these but they don't come with the thin wire type sensor.

I really don't want to have to weld a 1/8" boss to my intercooler.

Can I use the above gauge with a different sensor? If so which one?

Any more gauge suggestions welcome.

Put in Peak Sensors in your browser and click on Thermocouples. They have a good selection or will provide what you want, i.e wire gauge/length.( need about 1.5 metre) Good helpful customer contact, just a bit of a hit on the postage. You should be able to match to gauge.

Just spoke to R&B Motorsport and the ACT gauge they make now can't be used with the thin wire sensor.

Anyone here got any more ideas?

Or have one of the older type or similar for sale?
