Hayward and Scott Uppipe Blow 2008STI
Hi guys. Just installed a new Hayward and Scott uppipe. It is blowing from the slip joint.
Paul From Extreme scoobies said that they sometimes blow but eventualy sort themselves out but im just not sure.
The blow is almost like a smallblow on your fingures at tick over from the gasket area connecting the turbo, but sure its more when driving as i can hear a hiss type noise. it doesn't help i done the airbox silencer delete at the same time mid you. Lol.
Any thoughts or fixes would be much appreciated.
Cheers. Joe

I have a slip jointed up-pipe that blows a bit on idle, but seems OK once it gets going. Maybe the velocity of the exhaust gases sort it out?
I wouldn't worry if I were you, as it is already fitted and replacing it will be rather labour intensive.
Hope this helps, but I am no expert on such matters.
