can any 1 tell me, on an 03 wrx, i know an sti intercooler will fit, but r they much better?

 

what other mods will you be doing with it

 

At the moment its just got a prodrive exhaust hks mushroom air filter & remap at the its 275bhp also looking to take the cats out change the headers, & possibly change the intercooler then have it remapped again

 

if its a wrx like mine you will have to upgrade ypour turbo aswell

 

It won't improve performance that much but will buy you more overhead in avoiding det as the charge will be cooler, especially if you run the scoop and undertray.

The intercooler comes into it's own if you buy a bigger turbo as the STi flows better with less of a pressure drop.

The STi stencil loks good throught the intercooler though

yea thats on list of to do aswell (new turbo) & wots the best turbo to b fitting?
& yea the sti intercooler do look a lil better hey already got the sti scoop etc on it

 

just make sure if you buy a sti tmic get the undertray with it

 

its off my mates smashed up sti so got it all mate

 

cool as when i bought mine it came with just the intercooler

 

for what its worth mate i am running 339hp on a set up like you are planning on, got the undertray but didnt bother with the scoop

 

as me mates was the same colour ive taken all the sti bits off it already
