Default 2.5" backbox to 3" centre section?

Hi guys, got a 3" turbo back system and was wondering if I bought a 2.5" Nur spec back box, is there any way it would fit?

Thanks

I think the nur spec is 3" - 2.5" at the flange so you could get it chopped, just dont take it to someone like ltc as they will bodge it!

Sorry to hi jack your thread mate just rather than start a new one on the very same subject just wonder if anyone could answer the following regards the newage blitz nur spec cat back ??

1/ the rear pipe on the blitz nur spec cat back - does it have a silencer - would think not by the sound off the blitz but certainly looks like a resonator on the rear centre pipe from the pictures off it ??

2/ can anyone confirm if an Afterburner Vortex backbox would mate up with the blitz nur spec rear centre pipe ie. both 2.5" flange ??

3/ lastly take it using a 3" pipe as therear centre pipe would be a bad idea if the rest off the system ie mid pipe decat etc was all 2.5" ??

long story but got an Afterburner vortex backbox here that I want to put on instead off my current set up off Blitz nur spec just wondered if I could get away with keeping the rear centre pipe off the blitz cat back ??

ope sorry again for hi jacking your thread mate hopefully we will both get the required info on the Blitz nur spec !!

I emailed scoobyparts earlier asking if they had an adapter to fit 3" centre section til 2.5" backbox and they said they didn't stock anything suitable. Anyone know anywhere that does?

I wouldnt do it mate you will have a bottle neck that is almost reducing flow by half which kinda makes the rest of the system pointless. Are you sure it doesnt just drop down to 2.5" at the flange? as thats what all nur specs ive seen do. if that is the case just get it chopped off and a 3" flange put on, just dont take it to a cowboy.
