the parking light switch that only lights the back ones up

if i turn the stalk on to side lights theres nothing but the back ones come on still theres nothing in the actual head lamp for side lights to go into onlt the wirw with the 3 prong to fit the big bulb so do i need a different kind of h4 bulb with side light built in

yes thats right in classic impreza the sidelights/parking lights are the corner units next to the headlights which in some countries are used as indicators but in most theyre as i stated and indicators are set into the bumper below on the corner...

yeah so the unit on the left of the headlight is the sidelight/parking light which the 501 bulbs go in, if you turn on the lights to first click they should come on without the headlights. change the bulbs which is a 2min job very easy just twist the plug behind the unit and pull back bulbs pop in and out very easily, then test first click on the stalk, if not then it might be a fuse or switch problem.

oh ok, youll have to get someone to look at it then to test if power is getting to the the bulb holders which sounds like its not, im not sure if they have their own fuse i cant remember, but you can check by taking off the fuse box cover (right side above battery) then see if any fuses are blown and i think tells you in the lid what fuses do what.

Check the fuse - I had the same problem the other week. This post has an excellent fuse diagram that is better than the information on the fuse box.

https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...x-diagram.html

I had a fuse blown in the box under the steering wheel - F5 in the diag
