Default Is this the right inlet manifold for my car?

When i asked the owner he said 'its from a V4 but it will fit on any classic impreza' surely they cant all be the same?
Will it fit my V3 STI? Thanks

I'm not sure about classic's mate but all the newage's (bug, blob & hawk) are the same.

Funny paint job, he's missed half of the underside

v3 and v4 are the same.

V1/V2 have individual coilpack on each spark plug both same manifold
V3/V4 centre coilpack both same manifold
V5/V6 side coilpack more to the left

the difference between the manifolds are where you fit the coilpacks as far as i know.

and the bolts that hold it down, v3/v4 are all in a line were as v5/6 are not slightly of center on 2 bolts

oh and just had quick look at item and hard to tell with out seeing the bolt holes or top of manifold where coil pack sits. ps thats not powder coat thats spray paint.

Thanks for all replies chaps. so if it is off a v4 then it will fit mine.
I was after a polished one before i came across this one. Anyone seen one for sale anywhere?

The one you posted a link to is a MY99/00 job with the offset coilpack mounting. It has different bolt hole positions to a MY97/98, so won't readily bolt to your MY97's heads.

I have a used MY97/98 WRX (380cc grey injectors installed) inlet manifold (centre mounting for coilpack) with all ancillaries on it (no coilpack though) sitting around doing nothing, if you need it....

What about this one? It says 93-97, Would that just be v1-2, mine is a 97.

Thats not off a V3 or4, if you look at the inlet it has a hole at the top for the idle control, this should be on the side of the manifold not integral to the inlet if it's V1-4.

Why not take Joz up on his kind offer, strip it and have it powdercoated, will cost about 50/60 quid i would think
