Default smoke from turbo area

Hi guys, hope someone can shead some light.
Car is a 98 wrx, pretty much standard. When driving and the car is up to temp, i am getting a fair amount of smoke coming from under the turbo heat shield. Very noticeable when stopped at lights. The car drives and boosts fine with no unusual noises. But does seem to be losing a bit of coolant. It doesent over heat at all.
About 2 months ago the water hose from the turbo to header tank perished and split losing all the coolant, i replaced the hose and refilled and all was fine for a good few weeks and a couple of hundred miles?
Has anyone else had similar problems? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks, dan

If it smells like oil smoke it is most likely the rocker cover gasket leaking oil onto the uppipe/manifold mate

I have had a small leak from the rocker cover since i had it which would burn off after 5 mins and would only be if i hadnt used it for a week or so. This smells slightly different to burnt oil. Could it be coolant? Where does the water feed for the turbo go in? I could see the oil feed and rturn and the water reurn going to the header tank but looked like there was a plug on the opposite sid, i could be wrong though, i will double check with better light
