Default Idle air control valve help

Hi car is a phase 1.5 uk turbo 2000. I am currently refreshing some parts and have noticed that some people replace the pipe rom intake pipe to IACV with a small k&n Filter.

What are the implications on doing this??

Mike

If you do this then the engine idles on unmetered air and the ECU has no referance for how to fuel the engine.

Needs a return to the Inlet in standard application, but on simtek for example you can VTA the return and filter the ICV On the Apexi you need to keep it mate
