Default S204 Twinscroll VF42

What power will i get out of one of these with the vf42?
It made 378.6bhp/384.9ftlb on the S204, not sure what mods.

Supporting mods, will be on a 99 v5 sti type r
Simtek, als/lc
Injectors 650cc
Twinscroll headers and uppipe, standard S204
Sx fuel regulator
Hks blowoff valve
Rcm K+N airfilter
Ht leads
Oil cooler
Catch tank
H+S decat downpipe
Decat exhaust, fujitsibu used on the classic
S204 Tmic or might use a hybrid fmic

Engine will be a 2nd hand semi cdb with new standard internals.

Thats the plan above, if im going wrong somewhere,
let me know what i should be doing (engine wise) or what else i should need.....power wise.

Should i use avcs?
Will it make much difference and will it work with the simtec?

Most I've ever had out of a VF42 is 360bhp/370ltb. Who mapped the car previously?

This was on the s204 it came off

Its going to be on a v5 type r now.
Not sure who mapped for that RR but think it would have been Bob Rawle.

Iv seen threads lately saving they can make 400bhp, but i dont believe everything i read.
Just curious is all.

that vf42 had its garret gt30 internal upgrade by turbo dynamics at that stage. its not a standard turbo.

Also on a fully forged engine by STi Tuning.

iam running 370 on harveys own td05 20g, its well capable of more , its been reined in but iam at the limit of what the standard hawk pistons can run and iam very happy for now, some engines can run more but why take the risk, u wont notice it in everyday running

yup 2.5 and tbh these chocolate pistons arent as bad as ur read as long as ur have it setup right, dont exceed the limits and ur fine, however should it go boom its a good excuse to upgrade, go much higher and ur indeed living on the edge, some engines handle it , so dont, not worth the risk imo

What happened to the original 204 engine or is the graph not from the 204 engine?

Sorry Dave, I presumed it was the standard turbo, either way im not botherd,
I know what limit i have on the car, powerwise.

All im curious is what the standard turbo would make, but seeing its not standard what would be with the mods above?

I wont confuse the question anymore.....turbo output and thats it.

Sean i have made the mistake in the past of chasing numbers, with the newage block and your other bits you mention it will certainly make for a very quick road car and will see off newages with more power.

Plus it will be different, not too many TS classics around.

Twin scroll classics in a short ratio box like in type r are seriously nice to drive.

Very sharpe.

@71/200 an alarm installer killed the original engine. Long stroy.

So engine is original engine as in heads and block and with forged internals.

On my 98 classic, my VF37 made 340bhp and 332lbs at just under 1.4 bar on standard internals.

I have fueling, exhaust, and manifold mods, but stock internals, and no AVCS.

Manifolds were from a Spec C, with a H&S 3' downpipe and exhaust.

Hope that helps.
