i've set aside £1500 to increase the power of my 07 WRX which is standard apart from a Forge DV.

I really have no idea how or what power gains i can achieve with my budget, so if anyone could suggest anything i would be most greatful.

Oh i dont want to change the turbo or fit a FMIC.

Ive taken the filter and cat back route for now, saving for the downpipe and remap for my 06 sti

 

is the up pipe worth changing?

 

I personally have no idea, i suppose it depends if you want to remain mot friendly or not. I do, hence why im going for sports cat downpipe. Otherwise id go full de-cat. Hopefully someone else will chime in with their 2p as ive only just started the long road of modding.

 

Hawkeye up pipe does not have a cat.The catted up pipe was only fitted to the 2 litre models to reduce the bhp.
£1500 should comfortably see a decatted exhaust, panel filter and an open source remap.
If you go for previously enjoyed parts, you will have change for some grooved discs with fast road pads. If you have any change, fit a 22/24mm Whiteline ARB with solid droplinks.
A used VF35 can be had for £300. That will give fantastic power and torque on the 2.5 with the standard intercooler. Worth considering if you're budgeting on a remap. The 2.5 injectors will support the VF35. Enjoy. Bob
