Default Stupid ECU question. . .

OK more than likely a really simple question to some of you, but can a ECU from a MY04 STi be plugged in and used on a MY05 STi? The MY04 has ECUTEK license attached so was planning on putting this into MY05 and getting it remapped? But as mines a facelift has DCCD etc so wondered if this is something different on the board of the ECU etc?

Does this sound all hunky dory to do what I have said? I have PM'd Duncan and also mailed Paul at Zen but just wondered what people thought or knew also?

Thanking you all in advance!!

Scotty

Wont work.
Better of getting Duncan to Open Source map it or if you prefer Ecutek, get e.g JGM to Ecutek map it. (either pay for Ecutek licence or find the same ECu as yours with Ecutek license already on it, slim chance of finding one quickly though).

Had a quick reply from Paul @ Zen and possible but would have to reprogram the keys so by time ive costed in the price of ECU, then Pauls time etc dont think I would be that better off financially to make it worth while. Could sell on MY05 PPP ECU but again unsure if anyone would be interested in this.

Think il get Duncan to do an open source or Paul to go down the ECUTEK route.

Thanks for the reply good sir. . .
