Hi all

I decided to take the plunge and i bought a 2001 Impreza WRX on Tuesday.
I had a meeting to go to in London and as i live in Chester its a bit of a hike so i thought id give the WRX a good test, and ive got to say i think the car is amazing!!
I think ill probably have a few questions as its my first WRX, the first is about the clutch and gearbox.
The clutch is really stiff compared to my wifes corsa and the gearbox is a little stiff too, when i put it in gear it doesnt just gently slide in like the corsa, it kinda firmly goes into gear with no play or movement, it sometimes feels a little notchy ish (its quite hard to describe)
Do these descriptions, sound normal or should a be worried?

It is a very positive gear engagment. You do get a notch/click type feeling when changing gear. You shouldn't worrie about it feeling different to the corsa. It's a different car after all. If you are worried find someone local from here and ask them to pop round, they will be able to tell you if it's normal
