Classic WRX ECU reset
Anyone know a way to reset my ecu without connecting the green and black connectors under the dash? I only have one of the green connectors it appears the other one has been chopped of and used elsewhere no idea why.
Also one of my my black connectors has a spade connected into it going elsewhere?! Can I just take the battery off for a set period of time or do I need to try and chase these wires back.
Cheers
PS car has a tracker, would this explain the missing wire?

Well in my legacy turbo i coul do the "battery dance"......take of +(the one without red hat is + right?) for few hours befor reconecting. Do a cold start and dont touch any thing.Let it idle until vents go on.Turn it off and your job is done.

+1 just remove the battery positive for an hour then reconnect, start car up, 1st gear move car forwards 1foot then reverse car back 1foot, let it warm up to operating temp allowing the fans to kick in and out then switch off job done.

You sure the other green one isn`t there tucked up somewhere??
Mine was a bit of a pain to find, in the end I had to remove the panel under the steering wheel to find it, but it was tucked up and taped into the alarm wiring, wasn`t used just trapped in the loom for the alarm when it was fitted.
Worth having a look.
