boost pressure?
Yesterday I fitted a boost gauge and after driving it around a bit I was going to ask if sitting at exactly 1bar boost when under load was about right for a standard (apart from filter and exhaust) Bugeye WRX?
Then this afternoon I fitted 2nd decat and decat uppipe (what a complete b@st@rd of a job
) and now the turbo does seem to spin up faster but boost pressure holds at 0.8 bar of boost and only comes close to 1bar at high revs
Does this sound right?

std boost is 14.5 psi, so yep a bar on a non calibrated gauge sounds spot on, a re map will be required to set the boost now you have changed the exhaust as it is ecu controlled

no worries, the tuner should be able to up the boost to 1.3 bar or 20 ish psi, and you will be looking at around 270 bhp at that

have a K&N panel in there, plugs arent old but will be looking at new ones.
The sensor from the up pipe is sat in the boot and the sensor on the 2nd cat is still plugged in. So far no issues, no EML

Would have been good to swap the up-pipe for a de-cat'd one, but that's quite a pain to do...

No CEL yet but it will be getting mapped out. Map is being done by Pye Motorsport, they have their own subaru rally team and act as service team to another
