What oil pump for a classic??

Default What oil pump for a classic??

Hi guys im just rebuilding my 95 scooby have forged pistons and acl race bearings but unsure what oil pump to get as there are loads? do i go for standard with modded valve? or high pressure or high volume? car will be daily driver and aiming for 300 ish bhp when mapped your comments would be appreciated

can give you details of a company which can do a 12mm spec c genuine Subaru oil pump for £140 plus postage. Put one of these on my 2.5 build gives extra pressure and 30% more flow

12mm sounds sensible, Advanced Automotive are most likely the company being referred to, or at least they do them at a very sensible price.

Thanks thats a good price some are double that, think mine is a 10mm

in the uk £240 in the USA £120 u take the risk of vat and duty but I managed to get £1600 worth if goods sent with a value of $250 and had to pay £36 duty

Unless you need more flow i.e. AVCS, the stock 10mm pump is fine. A higher flow pump will heat up your oil since you will simply be recirculating more oil.

thats a good price!

I have an API modified one, my oil pressure gauge shows it pumps upto 8 bar
also i reckon this is more than enough for you

Hi guys, in regards to the oil pump what is the size of a sti6 classic oil pump? Is it 10 or 12?
