Default Turbo for my classic help

Right I have a td05 ATM and it has way too much lag for my liking after something that spools up alot quicker it's a classic 2000 and has other supporting mods , been offerd a vf 34 and a 35 pros and cons on these turbos anyone ? Also aiming for around the 330 bhp mark too, didn't want to spend more then £200 but both these come in around the 300 mark if some one could give me some advice I'd be greatful or recommend me another suitable turbo ?

Thanks

The 34 will spool quicker and both turbos are good for 330ish bhp

Im running a VF35, FMIC and walbro pump plus de-cat system making 336/300 on Vpower

Remember that if you do a turbo swap you should really get it mapped, and thats where the costs could go up if you dont have an ECUTek license already on your ecu.

I didn't do the work all I know is it has a old td05 on off a version 1 or 2 but instead of converting it to side entry they have bodged the top entry with dodgy pipes etc so wanting to go back to a side entry again, and yes I know it will have to be mapped again thanks , do the 34 is the one to go for then ? What about a 22 or 28 turbo ? Thanks for the help !

They never made a front entry TD05 Surely your UK Turbo 2000 AWD came with a TD04 which is a front entry......

VF30/34/35 are Front entry as they came with the newage Bugs..

Confused me mate the air intake pipe comes off the top of my turbo opposed to from the side which the td04 does ? I know it should have had a td04 but some where along the lines of it's life someone has bodged a td05 using old bits off pipe I want to put the correct air intake pipe back on that goes under the manifold because the way it is now goes over like on the inports even tho mines a uk if this all makes sense ?
