Question

Looking to upgrade my brakes swiftly! Like in the next week or so - anyone had any experience using EBC grooved discs, redstuff fronts, greenstuff rears, and/or BF307 Dot 4 fluid?

I just need to get a bit more feel and less fade from my std Series McRae brakes.

Any advice welcomed!

Cheers

Ok, go for something like Mintex M1144's or Ferodo DS2000's for fast road use, but if you are considering a trackday go for something like Mintex M1155's or Ferodo DS2500's, which are still ok for road use but have a higher temp limit. Make sure you don't go for a pad that is too "race" and not enough road as the brakes will be **** until they are warm.

Fluid wise, try Mintex C-Tech Racing fluid, this stuff is what rally cars run and you will struggle to f*ck it up!

As for EBC, I have tried Greenstuff in the past and not been impressed by them!

My mate is running the Mintex fluid and M1155 pads (M1144 in the rear) in his 300bhp+ EvoVI and the brakes are spot on, even on trackdays running slicks!!!

I find 1155 as good as the std Subaru pads in freezing conditions when cold, although officially they are a race pad.

mmmm.. since i have a trackday and 1000miles+ of fast road miles in the next 2 weeks, perhaps i should consider this...

I've mailed them to ask price and delivery.

Apparently Pagid have been taken over by Mintex, as it was pagids I was looking at first off.

Cheers

1155 are a good price compared with the others - I obviously don't know what I am missing, but the number I get through ....
