Worth putting sti heads on a wrx?
Hi guys I have a mint 96 wrx on only 53k and I'd like to add more reliableish power by possibly uprating the heads. My car is a v2.
Is there a massive difference on the sti heads? Are they a different casting, and if so which flows nest that is interchangeable to my block, I know sti cams will benefit my car, I've seen some v2 sti heads for sale are they worth getting? Much improvement??
Thanks for any input!!!

STi Version 2 heads have hydraulic lifters so not a big gain to be had with them.
STi Version 2 RA heads would be better as they have quite aggresive cam profiles and run under bucket shims (top hat type).
Popular choice of upgrade would be STi Version 3~4 heads and are capable of running good power in standard form.
Dont forget to budget for Turbo,Injectors and a remap to get the maximum benefit as changing the heads alone will not gains massive amounts of 'grin factor'
