Question classic wrx tmic upgrade help!!

i am looking for an upgrade to my standard tmic intercooler ,i want to keep the tmic set up rather than going down the fmic at the moment as i want to keep the lag to a minimum, i was wondering if its easy enough to upgrade to a new age one or sti version my one is the 93 wrx import with the slanted intercooler any advice would be much apreciated

Im in a similar position, marcevs72 what did you do regarding the scoop, did you have to change the scoop and along with relevant undertray or did you fit the right undertray to your pre-facelift scoop/bonnet.

Cheers

Isn't this engine the later UK engine? As it has the coilpacks on the top!

I am also thinking about doing this to my early classic and have the larger tmic for sale on here as I thought it was too big to fit
So what else do you have to do to get the larger tm to fit? As it seems to hit the bulk head

the ic to throttle body pipe i bought was half inch shorter so it cleared the gearbox mount.

its a ****ing mission trying to fit a v7,8,9 tmic onto a 93 wrx.

The ways id go around,
Fit a 92-96 sti top mount much better than the OEM black wrx version and very cheap to get,
Look for a Arc or Avo after market slanty tmic,
Fit a 97-99 sti top mount needs slight modding,

Or if the sti 7+ tmic is a must then you will want v3-4 inlet as sits further forward and taller pictured above, i really struggled to get the v7 sti tmic in on my 93 wrx
