Depends how handy you are with spanners and what equipment you have

Some prefer to remove the gearbox which is a sodding heavy lump and I would allow about 8 hours to do this by yourself. With help on a 2 post ramp you can do it in about 4 hours providing nothing is stuck (two mating dowels are famous for this)

Personally I prefer to hoick out the engine. Can change an engine in 6 hours on my own in safety and much of the disconnection procedure is the same anyway ie, intercooler out, starter out, remove clutch pivot un unbolt engine from gearbox etc

see here https://www.scoobynet.com/drivetrain...a-gearbox.html

Don't forget to get a pilot bearing and rear crank seal, and have a good flywheel handy just in case the original is scored/worn.

good luck

Having done 2 gearbox changes and 2 engine changes would not even consider trying to hump the box out with the car on axle stands, too much like hard work and too dangerous.....
