Default Failed MOT - Front Macpherson Strut

Failed my MOT today due to the "offside front macpherson strut corroded and seriously weakened"...

... now the MOT tester did show me and explain, basically the offside strut has a problem turning at the top above the spring, he said it was the bearing??

My question is, I obviously need to source a replacement part(s) but don't no what I'm looking for?

MacPherson Strut = shock absorber that is also the steering pivot. Not able to rotate about its axis. If he said its the bearing it may not be the strut itself, but where it bears on the underside of the wing. What vehicle?

1997 Impreza WRX... From what he was saying, it was a part at the top of the strut that needed replacing, not the actual strut or shock absorber

I've had another look today, and it does seem that it is the strut top mount... But would like confirmation of someone who knows better
