Error Code(or lack of one!)

I have had a CEL flash up and stay twice in the last fortnight. When I use Ecuexplorer to read the code, there are no codes displayed, either current or stored. My car has been mapped after removing all cats and adding a vf35 etc. Any ideas?

It will most likely be the Neutral Position Switch on the gearbox.

Will be flashing for intermittent cam position fault (there wont be one) or random misfire codes.
