Default whining turbo

hi guys picked up my type r today and noticed the turbo whines a bit before boost guy said it had always done it any ideas people is it anything to worry about? think it a vf23 ? cheers rob

i think mine does that pal and ive inspected it all and it seems fine no play boosts great all the way to redline

yea same boosts fine pulls very hard. my old td05 didn t tho?

ive got a td05 on now mate ive not had any problems with mine and ive done 4000 miles in it still the same

If its roller(Ball) bearing turbo this turbo usually whine/scream.

Or you have a slight leak at the uppipe / downpipe gasket

type r turbo is it vf23 ? are thet roller bearing turbo? skyline was crap so got s3 was crap now a type r is nice i like lol just cant beat a scoob can u . whens next meet mate?

Yes this turbo its Roller bearing.You are running DVless or OErecirc,if yes i would suggest before blown,older VF are too fragile.

You will be OK with any DV,just don't run without the DV for long time,because i've seen few VF blown.
