Default De-cat = Engine light

Hi, was just wondering what I do about my engine management light as I now want to get it taken off without having to put the cat(s) and sensors back in. There must be plenty you with this so was just wondering how this is done, where to get parts a may need and who can do it for me. Any help pls? Thanks.

The car should be remapped it its been decatted to gain the maximum benefit. If not you risk potentially damaging your engine. If you have decatted the up pipe, then fitting a 2.2k ohm resistor and bridging the terminals will switch off the light after 5 or so start stops of the ignition. Remap is the safe option

I know you are only joking but doing that is a really bad plan as although you wont see the cel for this issue you wont see it for serious issues aswell and that could get expensive.

As said, remap is the safest choice and would give you better performance for the mod you have made.

Also, your sensors shouldnt be simply unplugged as they affect your fueling. Iv heard you run the risk of overboosting if you decat without a remap too.
