Default no real power

just droped my car of at the garage for some work,my mate drove it there and he said it felt like there was no power,he said he could hear the turbo coming in but felt like it was going nowere gauge was reading 12 psi on boost but he said it felt like the turbo was not working proper he could here it but not feel it,any ideas thanks ste,car is an sti 96 plate

put it on a dyno and see whats its doing, butt dyno is only a guess

turbo must work properly, its making boost. What is he expecting at only 12psi?

what should it be boosting at.and it feels like the turbo is not kicking in proper as can here it but cant feel it if you no what i mean,feels like there could be a split pipe,would this cause the problem.thanks ste

It may have a leak on the pipework from the turbo. It will be making boost, but leaking it to atmosphere.

cant find any leaks,could it be the maf sensor

nobody,will have to strip all the pipes ect and see if i can find out

I dont think anyone can fault diagnose your car over the internet properly mate. I sugest you take it to someone who can pysicaly look at the car.
