RCM oil pump - check the screws?
I've got a (brand new) modified RCM oil pump and wonder if it's necessary to remove the screws on the back and loctite them, or if this would already have been done as part of the 'modifications' at RCM?

I would of thought buying a modified oil pump from such a highly respected tuner that they would of lock-tied the bolts etc...
As I can't see them relying on garages etc lock-tying the bolts prior to installation...

Official response!
For anyone interested,
I just phoned RCM. Their official line is they don't loctite the screws, they just torque them up. They also said they wouldn't use loctite on them either.
Maybe the loctite advise only applies to used pumps?

Interesting!
The OEM pump screws are known to become loose with time (usually about 100k, 2 out of the 3 pumps I've inspected had some loose screws) and I imagine Subaru torques them correctly to their specification. I wonder why RCM don't recommend using loctite on the screws?
