the big power cars are the exception here. their owners must drive them like grannies. you are on borrowed time with a 5 speed. you either take it very easy of suffer the consequences. lots of experience on here will tell you that 360 - 380 ft/lb will more than likely shred a gear at some point. it's not a matter of if but when. still you pays your money you take your chances. the 6 speed is 5 times the price for a reason.

you will be pushed to make 350 with out modification to intercooler, injectors and turbo. but its a 14 year old car now. tired rods and pistons and big ends. what has the service schedule been like beforehand? better get the timing and the fuelling right or at the boost levels required for the horsepower you are after you can lunch an engine in short order, especially older engines. subaru do allow for some leeway but asking for a genuine 350hp is asking your engine to run out of spec by nearly 28%. that can be a tall order for an older engine.
i am not scare mongering here i am only asking you to consider your options here. a new rebuild is not cheap.

there is a guy running a 752 box at just short of 400/400 and with quite a few trackdays and quarter mile runs includeing several launches, and the box is still fine,i think its pot luck tbh.
how long it will last like that is another question tho.

Mine was run for 10k with 380lb/ft and I don't drive it easy, still going strong after a while at 370bhp then 390bhp and a little bit at 429 till I took it off the road. I just don't do ballistic launches, get it rolling then floor it

And I counted five Hawkeye WRX boxes shedding gears at way less power than this. Add two more bugeye's at only 300 bhp and it isn't looking that good is it ?
BUT it is also down to driving style.
