HI ALL.

IM NEW TO THE SUBARU FORUM. I AM CURRENTLY CONSIDERING BUYING A SUBARU IMPREZA STI.

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT BAR A STANDARD STI SUPPOSE TO RUN AT?
THE REASON I ASK IS I WENT AND VIEWED/TEST DROVE A SUBARU IMPREZA STI TODAY AND IT FELT UNDERPOWERED. IT WAS BOOSTING AT 0.5 BAR ON THE GAUGE.

I DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT SUBARUS BUT I HAVE TEST DROVE A FEW AND THEY WERE A LOT SHARPER THAN THE ONE I DROVE TODAY AND THEY WERE BOOSTING AT 1.0 BAR.

THE CAR I VIEWED TODAY WAS IMMACULATE AND BY FAR THE BEST IVE SEEN BUT THE BOOSTING DID CONCERN ME. BEFORE I BUY IT CAN ANYONE GIVE ME SOME INFORMATION.

ALL HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

my o2 sti uk is boosting at 1.1 1.2

standard is 0.9 bar or just over 13psi. sound likes it is in "limp" mode.

Thankyou very much for your help. I thought it was underpowered. The guy is sending it to a diagnostic centre monday to get it looked at. If he sorts it I will buy it. If he doesnt i wont.

probably something simple and hopefully easily diagnosed. just make sure you test it again before you buy.

I will be test driving it again before i part with my hard earned english pounds. At least now I know what boost they are suppose to run at. Once again thanks for your help.
