Question MY2001 WRX Alarm and smoke

Hi, i was hoping you could help me, i have 2 problems with my MY2001 Bugeye WRX.

Firstly the standard sigma alarm keeps going off when the car is warm, i.e. left in the sun all day, the alarm will sound, the way ive found to sure it is to go and open the doors and let some heat out. Does anyone know how to cure this?

Secondly the car sometimes smells hot and ive noticed that there is a slight trace of smoke coming from near the turbo which is where the smell is coming from. Its between the turbo and the rocker cover, so my suspicion is that its leaking oil onto the exhaust manifold? But i cant find where from, has anyone any clues?

thanks in advance
Dale

There is an option to turn off the ultrasonic sensors (on the pillars) mate i would try that. I have a 2001 wrx with the same alarm and dont have this problem.

Thanks,

can anyone confirm if the symtoms for the smoke could be a leaking rocker cover gasket?

its most likely to be the rocker cover gasket mate.it some times leaks from the back of the head.the heat off the turbo softens the sealent ..
