Default help please dead scoob simtek ecu

hi could anyone advise me on my 96 impreza sti it has a simtek ecu so i have no way of diagnosing any problems as i am from guernsey and there is no mapper available on the island that means shipping it to engine tuner via ship and fly for 652 quid before its fixed and remapped money i cant justify spending at the moment

i changed the manifold recently and the car stated to misfire i used it for a few weeks like that the other night me and my mate where out and it died on us i have a spark and petrol getting through does anyone have any other ideas what could cause this?

when it died u felt the car slow down (bog) it coughed and spluttered for abit but if u revved it it cleared then it died it started a couple of times the next day but still sounding like it was running on 3 cylinders and coughing and spluttering but if u revved it it cleared any ideas im really stuck and desperately need my car back?

i have a spark and petrol getting through does anyone have any other ideas what could cause this? the coil pack etc is ok im assuming the crank sensor is good for there to be a spark ?

what would u guys be trying or replacing next ?
i think its gonna be a case of buy and try until i get it right but wanna try the obvious first

i have been told the maf sensor wont be causing it as the simtek does not use it is this true so i can eliminate that now ?

please help its driving me

if it has a simtek then the maf is no longer in use,as far as im aware you could plug a standard ecu in to diagnose but do not drive it
