Default FMIC Questions

Hi, I may be able to get hold of a brand new intercoler for a 95 model WRX. I have a 98 uk 2000. What fitment issues will i come across? I have access to pipe bending machinery, tig welding sets etc. Just looking for a bit of a warning of other fitting problems i may come across?

Mike

P.S I know i will need a re-map

First obvious point to make is, there is little point in dong this at all unless you are maxing out the TMIC?

Different car I know but, I have just gone FMIC as im hoping to get well over the 400 mark, hopefully closer to 440, as such I know this will be a hurdle that has to be jumped at some point, so I have done it now.

As for the kit you are refering to, what spec/make is it?

Do you know what your air charge temperatures are? On the road the 04 cars if yours is an 04, probably run to around 350 bhp before you need an FMIC.

Disregard the bollocks I have posted Mike. Saw 04 and jumped to conclusion.
It would be useful to find the make. If it is an efficient core it is certainly worth fitting but it hinges on it being an efficient core. With the facilities you have fittting should present no problem.
