Default have i got the right injectors?

Can anyone identify the injectors in the attached photos?
the are 'blue' the size of your little finger but they are a loose fit in the tumble valve generator body, about 0.5mm play.
the guy i bought the engine from removed the high flow injectors and put these in.
I'll be running a td04 turbo so just need advice which is the right injectors for the engine
cheers
carl

bugger! i've tried loads of times but i get an error so can't upload them!

they have an o ring seal for the fuel rail, then a dust seal, the seal for the TVG fits over the end of the injector but as i said, it's a loose fit.
Engine details, (kit car project-no car info) engine crank shaft timing pulley has 36 teeth, cam has 2, year around 2002

good input mate, i heard the engine running with these but it was just fast tickover so no positive boost to leak out. will be on the pink injector case now!
see what ebay has to offer...

so after measuring the TVG injector hole at 17mm and my 'blue' injectors at 15.4 they for sure must be the wrong ones as the 'pink' injectors measured with a ruler are around 20mm

Laptop's playing up but there are two types of "Blue" denso newage top feed injectors.......blue one's for the 2.0ltr WRX and higher capacity blue ones for the 2.5 litre WRX and STi.

TBH they look like 2.0ltr WRX one's but as I say the screen isn't clear.......in any case if you are going for the STi pink injectors it's immaterial.

I dont know what rubbers measured 15.3mm??? the ones i sent you were 20mm as all pink injectors have, they were measured before they were sent, the top o ring is 11mm are you on about the centre rubber?? Please can you explain which one is 15.3mm as im not sure i like where this is heading. You have a 17mm injector hole i sent you pink injectors with (20mm) rubbers = a tight fit now they are loose like your hawkeye injectors were/are umm.

I don't suppose there interchangeable by any chance?? The injector rubbers sent to you were not that size in any way shape or form. The injectors sent were bought of another members on here with 20mm rubbers i sent/measured the same and now they have shrunk to the size of your old ones strange!!!

i've attached a picture showing my blue injectors and the pink ones you sent. they look pretty identical so are no use. These are the only injectors i have, i'm not a car dealer so have no stock to interchange them with. what you see is what i have. and changing them for smaller rubbers, what point would that serve as i need the 20mm ones
As they are the wrong size will you offer a refund?

They look like standard STi pink injectors to me........fits all newage 2 litre STi / WRX bug and blob.

Has the guy before altered the inlet in any way to fit the previous "high flow" injectors. I'd have a word with the previous owner, is he on scoobynet ??

john........I've been trying to find the bore diameter for the DENSO injector and from what I can see it should be 17mm but I may be wrong.

http://www.tomiokaracing.com/tomioka...omponents.html

I wonder what the bore is for the intake that emlclcy has ?

The injector bore is 17mm so that rules out the wrx and sti which are only using 15mm seals

I wonder if the intake manifold is from a 2.5 ? I know the 2.5 injectors flow more that the STi pinks but for the life of me I can't remember if the blue 2.5 litre injectors are physically bigger.........which would be the current problem if true.

when i bought the engine (which i heard running but just tickover and the odd 'blip') it all sounded fine. He did say he'd taken out the big injectors and put the blue ones in. the holes in the TVG look unmodified but i can't be sure on that one.
so a 2001 ish engine with TVG's, what car does that come out off? It has the 36 tooth crank pickup and a 2tooth cam pickup if that helps to identify it. 7 bell housing bolts to

2001 ish engine with TGV's is a bug WRX engine.........like mine

I'm running my bug with pink STi injectors on the original inlet manifold as they were a straight swap with my bug WRX blue injectors.

The problem is that there are so many things that are swappable it's a bit of a nightmare......take my bug WRX.....running 400BHP with a few STi Bits, deadbolt turbo, meth injection, six speed etc.
